Queens Baton Relay

Hi Guys,

This Friday (Easter Good Friday 30th March) I will be walking with the Commonwealth Games Queens Baton in the Queens Baton Relay.
My leg of the Relay is scheduled to start at  17.06 ( just after 5pm). The exact address is 308 Oxley red, Graceville to 342 Oxley Road, Sherwood. I have driven past the area and a point of reference is – coming from the north side there is a big church on the right, then between 7 Eleven – service station & Puma service station on right. I am pretty sure I will be walking from Pump towards 7 Eleven. The road will be closed for the walk.
I would love to see as many people there as possible but I think people will have to get there early to get a spot. There is a cricket pitch  / oval & a few trees around  and a few spots to get a drink as well so everyone should be able to find a spot to be.

I really hope heaps of people will be able to come out and share this moment with me as it is 18years since my Olympic Torch Relay. Those of you that follow me on social media know I have been racing against time to repair a serious ankle injury that occurred a little over 2 weeks ago. Recovery is going well and I’m confident the atmosphere and the occasion will enable me to walk the distance easily.

I look forward to seeing everyone there on Friday.

Dean. 😊
